Kansas City’s $6.4 Million Lead Removal Project: Protecting Families and Homes

 

Kansas City, Missouri, has launched a $6.4 million lead removal and abatement initiative funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The project focuses on older homes built before 1940, where lead-based paint and plumbing pose the highest risks to children and families.
